Stracciatella Frozen Yoghurt

This delicious – slightly-better-for-you version of Italian Stracciatella came up on a post from The Doctor’s Kitchen – and I had to try it straight away. A few ingredients to create a creamy, sweet, probiotic rich treat which melts in your mouth.

Ingredients

Serves 8

500g full fat Greek Yoghurt

200g condensed milk

50g dark chocolate (80%) roughly chopped

Method

  1. Gather and prepare your ingredients
  2. Mix together the Greek yoghurt and condensed milk. Place into the freezer until partially frozen, about 2 hours.
  3. Melt the chocolate in a bowl suspended over a pan of simmering water/or in the microwave.
  4. While continuously stirring, slowly drizzle the melted chocolate in a thin stream into your thickened, but not yet frozen yoghurt mixture.
  5. As the chocolate sets, keep stirring to break it into fine shards and flecks throughout the mixture.
  6. Pour into a container, smooth over the top and cover.
  7. Freeze for at least 4 hours until firm.
  8. Enjoy!
